Server-managed encryption
Vault keys are encrypted with a master key. Files and paths are stored as ciphertext in R2.
Built for Obsidian
Sync Obsidian across macOS, iOS, and Android. Open notes online, publish selected pages, and draw with anyone in real time—without changing the way you already work.
Sync notes and settings across every device.
All changes savedMore than file sync
Keep your existing Obsidian setup, then open the same vault online when you need a bigger canvas or a quick way to share. Syncdian handles the setup and the filesystem details for you.
Your first vault is created and selected automatically. No server URL, token, or encryption setup to figure out.
Read and edit Markdown with live preview. Create and edit full Excalidraw drawings, including Obsidian’s compressed Markdown format.
Choose a subdomain such as yourorg.syncdian.com for your online workspace, public notes, and collaboration links.
Keep working offline. Revision-based catch-up and realtime notifications bring everything back together when you reconnect.
Built for real work
Syncdian uses three-way merging for text across devices. Non-overlapping edits come together automatically. Overlapping changes preserve both sides with clear markers. Binary conflicts get a separate copy.

The unglamorous details
Vault keys are encrypted with a master key. Files and paths are stored as ciphertext in R2.
Public-note encryption keys stay in the URL fragment. The server stores only the encrypted note.
Filenames that work on macOS but not Android receive reversible, device-local aliases.
See exactly how much of your 100 MB you are using. No hidden sync count or device limit.

Good to know
No. Syncdian uses server-managed encryption for vaults: keys are encrypted with a master key and files are stored as ciphertext. Public notes use a browser-generated key in the URL fragment. Collaboration rooms also write encrypted snapshots back to the owner’s vault.
No. Anyone with the complete collaboration link can edit the shared Excalidraw drawing. The owner can turn off sharing at any time, immediately disconnecting guests and revoking the link.
No. Sync follows the cloud vault, not the local folder name. You can use “Work” on your Mac and “Work notes” on Android.
Text changes use a three-way merge. Excalidraw collaboration uses Yjs for real-time element synchronization, presence, and reconnect recovery.
